Hairspring Problems?

It is not uncommon to encounter watches that previous repair attempts and been abandoned due to hairsprings having been "adjusted" or handled badly especially in pocket watches that are most prone to tampering 75% of these need some hairspring correction.

Abellwatchmakers has undertaken months of training on art of hairspring rectification. When necessary a new hairspring can be vibrated. most problems can be rectified but not all!

There are no magic tools that I know of for straightening hairsprings, just a few of pairs of tweezers and a great deal of patience.
